I just ate a piece of plastic fork

I didn’t mean to, of course. But there I was, eating my lunch, and I bit too hard into the fucking thing. It made a terrible SNAP noise, and the tip of one of the tines landed, presumably, inside my mouth. Thing is, it was sharing that space with a bite full of chicken shawarma and hummus. I couldn’t tell where the tip of said tine went, so I tried to chew up all of the food completely, assuming I’d feel a hard plastic bit at some point, which I could then pick out.

But I chewed and chewed to no avail. So, down the hatch.

I’m sure this is a grand metaphor for something. Just not sure what.
